Zoom!® and BriteSmile® Tooth WhiteningPorcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers, placed by cosmetic dentist David Cash at our Lexington and Frankfort-area office, can recreate your smile in only a few appointments, giving you the straighter, whiter teeth you’ve always wanted. Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made ceramic moldings that cover the front of teeth. Porcelain veneers are a simple yet highly effective solution for enhancing the appearance of teeth that are discolored, misshapen, crooked, or have large gaps. Each porcelain veneer is individually crafted from high-tech materials to produce a natural, bright smile.

Applying Porcelain Veneers

During your initial appointment, we will discuss the available options for your new veneers, including color, shape, and translucency. When you return for your prep appointment, we will buff a tiny bit of enamel from your teeth to make room for your new veneers. We will also attach temporary veneers made of composite material so that you can get used to the feel of your new smile while your porcelain veneers are created in the lab over the next couple weeks. When your veneers are ready, you will return to our office to have your new porcelain veneers attached. After checking the color and fit of your new veneers, we will attach them permanently to your teeth.

Porcelain Veneers Results

Porcelain veneers are intended to last many years. Unlike bonding materials, veneers will not change color over time, and they provide some of the longest lasting smile makeover results. To find out if porcelain veneers are a good option for you, please contact our office serving Lexington, Frankfort, and Central Kentucky today.

Invisalign® OrthodonticsInvisalign® Orthodontics

With new dentistry technology, it’s possible to straighten your teeth and attain a beautiful smile without the brackets, bands, and metal used with traditional fixed braces. Invisalign® orthodontics, offered at our Lexington practice, is the invisible way to straighten teeth by using a series of clear aligners crafted specifically for your needs. Invisalign® has been proven effective in thousands of practices nationwide, as well as in clinical research. Whether you have gaps in your teeth, crowding, or teeth that have shifted after wearing metal braces, Invisalign® technology can correct these problems. Invisalign® is an excellent choice for many of our patients who need orthodontic work but may feel embarrassed by conventional braces.

The Invisalign® Process

The Invisalign® process begins with a visit to our office. We will take a series of x-rays and create a mold of your teeth, which will be sent to the Invisalign® lab. Using three-dimensional computer imaging, Invisalign® professionals will custom-mold a series of aligners that will gradually correct gaps, and straighten misaligned, crooked, or even twisted teeth. Every two weeks, you will wear a new aligner that will gently re-align your teeth. The Invisalign® aligners can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing as well, making the Invisalign® system an easy, simple, and virtually undetectable alternative to metal orthodontics.

Invisalign® Results

Patients generally use Invisalign® aligners for about a year before they achieve their desired smile. Afterwards, many of our patients are thrilled with their straight smile and how simple it was to achieve. If you are interested in learning how you can get a straighter smile using Invisalign®, contact our Lexington, Kentucky office today.

Metal-Free Porcelain Crowns

Precision-crafted Porcelain Crowns

All-ceramic metal-free crowns can be placed over cracked, damaged, or decayed teeth to protect the tooth structure and root from further deterioration while restoring the bite. In the past, metal crowns were often noticeable because the restoration either did not match the original teeth, or the metal was exposed along the gum line, leaving a noticeable black line along the bottom of the teeth. Today, porcelain crowns are nearly undetectable. Additionally, the strength of porcelain will support the bite well. Each one of our crowns is precision-crafted to fit your mouth perfectly and match your smile. Consider metal-free porcelain crowns to whiten, reshape, and realign your teeth.

Beautiful, Natural-looking Bridges

Much like metal crowns, the metal bridges used in the past left dark lines right along the gums. However, Dr. Cash's mastery of implants and porcelain bridges give beautiful results that are indistinguishable from the natural teeth. Bridges can fill in gaps where teeth are missing, correct speaking and chewing problems, and increase strength when biting. Dental implants are another option for those who may be missing teeth and would like a realistic restoration. Not only do our porcelain bridges appear completely natural, but they are comfortable to wear as well. To find out more about our beautiful porcelain bridges, contact the Center for Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry today.

Porcelain FillingsPorcelain Fillings

In past dentistry days, cavities or decay in teeth would be drilled and filled with metal amalgam. These fillings, although effective, were noticeable in teeth as dark patches. Modern solutions for cavities are just as effective but can be hidden so that the filling is almost indistinguishable from natural teeth! At our practice we use these tooth-colored fillings. Made of either composite resin or porcelain, tooth-colored fillings will protect the tooth structure and root without leaving visible signs of a cavity.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding

Stained, crooked, cracked, or misaligned teeth can detract from the beauty of your smile. Our simple cosmetic dental bonding procedure can easily restore your teeth in just one appointment. During the procedure, our cosmetic and general dentist, David Cash, will apply and shape tooth-colored composite resin over those teeth that need correction. With natural artistry, Dr. Cash will match the color and shape of the surrounding teeth, making the bonding nearly indistinguishable from your original teeth. Dental bonding will last for several years. Contact our Lexington and Frankfort, Kentucky-area office today to learn more.

Cosmetic Laser Gum Contouring

Some of our patients feel uncomfortable about having a "gummy smile" that exposes too much gum tissue. Cosmetic laser gum contouring can heighten teeth so that they appear longer and more proportionate to the smile. Using our advanced laser, the gums can be reshaped and diminished in a comfortable procedure that produces less bleeding and less chance of infection than removing gum tissue with a scalpel. After this treatment, patients often feel more confident about their teeth and are unafraid to smile.
